ABOUT THE AUTHORS

Dee W. Edington, Ph.D.
DEE W. EDINGTON is a Professor Emeritus at the University of Michigan and Founder of the Health Management Research Center. He has contributed over 1000 books, articles, and presentations concerning workplace health management. Dr. Edington holds numerous career awards from associations, organizations, universities, and state and federal government agencies.
Jennifer S. Pitts, Ph.D.
Jennifer has been exploring the health-related influence of social support, engagement in treatment decisions, and meaning in life and work for the past 25 years. Dr. Pitts served as Director of Outcomes and Analytics at Pfizer Health Solutions for 12 years. Most recently, she has focused on the impact of positive organizational cultures on the ability of employees to thrive in their work and lives.

Both authors are cofounders of Edington Associates, LLC.
Jennifer is the founder of the Institute for Positive Organizational Health .
